Who I Am

NMJoePolaroidThat’s me, Joe, over to your left, standing next to Route 66 somewhere in New Mexico, sometime in 2007. I was driving with a good buddy of mine out to California with my Honda Civic packed with all my belongings. I’m a writer by trade, a traveler by destiny and a general autodidactic factotum by necessity, (that’s fancy-talk for self-taught jack-of-all-trades, so I could pay my bills.)

I was born in Secaucus, New Jersey on the 27th of July, 1980 ad. I grew up in West New York, New Jersey, where I lived until I was 18 and went off to college at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. Since then, I have moved at least once a year for the past ten years, all around New Jersey, then California and now I reside in Spain, my mother’s homeland back in New Jersey after 15 wonderful months in Spain.

Amongst the many things I have done include being a mailroom boy, computer salesman, hardware technician, web-designer, movie projectionist, painter, food-runner, travel supply salesman, QC technician, shipping and receiving for a Harley-Davidson shop, copywriter, proof-reader, and news-reporter. These have all allowed me to pay my bills as I write novels, short stories and poetry, all of which have had failed success. But I continue my journey through life trying to do all that I can, the best I can. – Joe.
